Background Atrial fibrillation (AF) is an important risk factor for acute ischemic stroke. Methods A nested case-control study was conducted among patients diagnosed with AF, whose information was acquired from the prospective China Atrial Fibrillation Registry (China-AF), from August 2011 to December 2018.
