Conclusion/Relevance: In the population-based Rotterdam Study, Lp(a) is robustly associated with baseline and new-onset AVC but not with AVC progression, suggesting that Lp(a)-lowering interventions may be most effective in pre-calcific stages of aortic valve disease.
